Can someone just provide a walkthrough of being able to perform multiple tackles in a movement phase?

If during my movement phase as the defensive player, I move a player to the attacker with the ball and call a tackle which I then lose, assuming he wasn’t my fifth player, can I then just move another defender to the man with the ball (if within range) and try again?

Initially we thought if an attacker wins the duel and has a successful dribble, that ended the phase and the attacking player started a new phase…

If you attempt a tackle and fail, the attacker can move around you into any space surrounding the defender.
It’s still your move as the defender, so if you can still reach the player with the ball, you can attempt another tackle.

You can run through this sequence 5 times (as in 5 defenders can move in any movement phase) if you want!

The movement phase only ends after either (a) the 4-5-2 sequence is over or (b) the player with the ball gets dispossessed.

    That Colin,

Do all defenders roll against dribbler’s original dice role or does attacker have to re-roll each time? I’d argue he was technically trying to evade a new challenge and should therefore re-roll each time, but happy to be corrected.

yeah, a new dice duel every time. Anyway, after the first tackle is evaded, the attacker can move into any hex surrounding the first defender, meaning the whole situation has changed, so it’s a new tackle scenario for sure. Unlike a header where all of the duels happen in one moment in time, hence you don’t re-roll for every challenge with a header
